The end

“Some men see things as they are and say why - I dream things that never were and say why not” George Bernard Shaw

After a few months of hard toil and challenging decisions, particularly for my other half, who has had to deal with all sorts of communication issues, threats, ‘bule’ pricing for building materials (ie inflated prices for non-locals) and unreliable workers (who show up to work whenever they are out of cash), we made it.

in the beginning...

...in the end

The development is now complete with a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom, 2 guest bedrooms, a semi-covered terrace, a shower room, a great kitchen and living area, a laundry area, a wood-fired pizza oven and outdoor entertainment area complete with BBQ, bar and seating area, a vegetable garden, a self-contained bedroom with shower, a garage and storage room, driveway and parking area, a water well, as well as 3 are (that’s 300 sqm) of land levelled and ready for any future development.

I nearly forgot to mention the palm trees...we have planted over 20 palm trees along the perimeter of the land to add to the tropical feel.

And did I mention our traditional little boat which will be our companion on our fishing expeditions.

It has been a challenging journey with a great outcome. It is amazing what can be achieved if you put your mind to it.

We would love to share our dream with you. Everybody's welcome to visit us in this piece of paradise :)

Tip: Believe in your dreams and pursue them today.

Do not worry...I will keep posting regular updates from paradise :)
